Schedule:  This full time position works varying shifts/days including weekends and holidays. Rotating hours and days.

Basic Qualificiations:

High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Will accept a student enrolled in a Vocational Education Program through a public school. Ability to read and write English.  Good customer service skills.  Ability to work in a high stress environment and be a valued member of the Nutritional Services team. 

Prior experience in a food service environment is preferred.

Job Summary:

Assists with the preparation of food to patients, employees, and visitors. Helps maintain the cleanliness of utensils and equipment in the kitchen and services area.

Duties:

·         Proportions food for patient meals.

·         Assembles and delivers patient trays and nourishments to patient areas.

·         Assists with the preparation of trays or nourishments not assembled on the tray line.

·         Stocks cafeteria and pantries with dishes, utensils, and other dining supplies.

·         Serves food to customers.

·         Washes pots, pans, dishes and utensils.

·         Assists with sweeping, mopping and overall cleaning of the kitchen and cafeteria.

·         Assists the cook in cleaning kitchen cooking equipment.

·         Disposes of garbage and trash.

·         Maintains cleanliness of storerooms and dish washing room.
