Qualifications/Duties:

PRN Radiology Technologist/ CT Tech  (5276)

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a program of Radiologic Technology.  Knowledge of radiologic equipment and effective oral and written communication skills. Training in Computer Tomography (CT) Scanning, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Surgery and/or Ultrasound is desirable.  One year as a registered technologist is preferred.

Required License/Certification:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Registered (ARRT) or ARCRT. Current Texas licensure. Current CPR required.

Related Skills:

Knowledge of radiologic equipment and effective oral and written communication skills. Training in Computer Tomography (CT) Scanning, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Surgery and/or Ultrasound is desirable.

Strong positive interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write and speak English clearly. Problem solving ability, time management skills. Possess organizational skills to function successfully in a fast paced work environment

Hours:  PRN position.  Hours/days (including weekends) will vary

Duties:

Provides procedures as directed by a physician.

Provides radiological, ultrasound, CT scanning and MRI (if applicable).

Establishes procedures to assure quality of services and timely reporting of results.

Provides care appropriate for the neonate and the pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patient status, to identify patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs and provides care needed as stipulated in departmental policy.

Keeps abreast of changes in technology and recommends equipment to be purchased or modifications of existing equipment.
