Basic Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Professional or Vocational school of Nursing licensed to practice in the State of Texas.

Minimum of two years experience working in a clinical environment and a minimum of two years experience with current Healthcare Information Systems preferred.

Capacity to successfully communicate technical information in understandable terms to all related personnel.  Requires excellent communication and problem solving skills and knowledge of current HIS to act as liaison between information systems and hospital leadership, staff and physicians.  Coordinates implementation, training and end user support and maintenance of clinical information systems.

Required Licensure/Certification: 

RN or LVN licensed to practice in the State of Texas.

Schedule:  This full-time position works from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Job Summary: 

Reporting to the Information Services Manager, provides support for a variety of clinical related projects in the Information Services department. Coordinates installation and ongoing maintenance of clinical and advanced clinical applications including dictionary building/maintenance. Works collaboratively with the Clinical Departments to lead in analysis, design, development, implementation and ongoing support of the clinical/advanced clinical modules to support patient care and fulfill end-user software requests. Coordinates education and updates for these applications. Provides troubleshooting capabilities to the hospital and medical staff. Working with various report writers, designs, writes and implements custom reports, rules and programs.  Assists in coordinating Information Systems operation instructions for new procedures and assists with education of staff. Including procedural documentation, requirements gathering and troubleshooting.
