JOB TITLE:  CRT-RRT (Nights) 5261

Location:  Palo Pinto General Hospital

Department:  Cardiopulmonary

Schedule:  This position works rotating days/hours, including holidays and weekends.

Shift:  6:45 pm to 7:15 am

Basic Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (COARC) program or accredited nursing program.

Ability to read and write, effective and oral communication skills and the ability to comprehend and follow verbal or written instructions.  Flexible to work all shifts, including holidays, and occasional call requirements.

Required License/Certifications:

Certified as a CRT or RRT with a current Texas license, or LVN, RN unless grandfathered in as a RCP. 

Current CPR certification required.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a physician and the Director of Cardiopulmonary, administers prescribed cardiopulmonary procedures, performs a variety of technical procedures and assists in the cleaning, maintenance, and disinfection of cardiopulmonary equipment.

Duties:

Administers or directs the administering of gas ad aerosol therapy and IPPB therapies.

Maintains and supervises the maintenance and the removal of secretions through various methods.

Supervises and places patients on ventilators and monitors them per policy.

Supervises and performs routine ECGs and prepares them for physician interpretation.

Observes and evaluates cardiopulmonary care provided.

Provides for maintaining stock levels of supplies and for obtaining required equipment.
